Founder & Principal

Gary Zarr is a recognized leader in public relations and marketing communications with decades of experience in government and the private and nonprofit sectors. He co-founded Phil & Co. in 2008, launching a full-service agency and carving a unique niche at the intersection of corporations, philanthropies and consumers. He is sought after for his senior advice and counsel; experience developing, managing and launching creative, impactful global, integrated communications and marketing campaigns; expertise in reputation and crisis management, as well as for his knowledge of today’s diverse and evolving media landscape and its impact on society, arts and culture, politics, government, nonprofits and business.

Jes Siart

Senior Communications Manager

Jes Siart is a communications professional with experience in digital, social, and traditional communications and marketing. She has worked in the private and nonprofit sectors creating integrated, multi-channel campaigns to advance messaging and drive action.

Shannon Duer

Communications Associate

Shannon Duer graduated from the New York Institute of Technology as a communication arts major with experience in public relations, advertising, journalism and media. Prior to joining GZ&A, Shannon served as an advertising/PR agent for the Long Island Ducks Minor League baseball team, performed global branding and marketing duties for the Boston Consulting Group, as well as served as the sports editor and social media manager for the NYIT school newspaper.
